Life Source Memorial Services

On Thursday, May 15th Life Source Service Hospice held its Annual Memorial Service, “Celebration of Life” at the Bergen Regional Medical Center Chapel. Life Source Services memorial services were conducted by Senior Chaplain Brenda Du Bose and Life Source Services Hospice Executive Director Karen D’Imperio.

The service gave family and friends, along with hospice staff members an opportunity to gather and remember their loved ones and to draw support from the loving hospice community.  For some it helped them to bring closure to a still fresh sense of loss. The program consists a candle lighting ceremony, reading of poems, liturgical dancing, words of reflection & music

In a thank you note to Life Source Services Hospice Judy V. wrote” I would like to say that Life Source Hospice “Celebration of Life” service on May 15th touched our family not only for letting us feel the warmth and love of the memories of my mother but the warmth & love from all the wonderful people that made the evening possible. The music, dance, service & good food was such a comfort to us. During the time of my mother’s illness & passing we were blessed with these wonderful people who help my mother & the families get through a very difficult time & were there for us when we needed them the most.”

Executive Director Karen D’Imperio and Min. Brenda Du Bose believe that the Memorial Service helps to bring closure and healing to the families and the Hospice Staff.

Life source Hospice is available for bereavement services for 13 months after a patient dies.
